| Details: Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Associate Director, Government Programs to join our Prescription Medicines Business Analysis department located at our US headquarters in Ridgefield, CT. The Associate Director, Government Programs ensures overall compliance and provide one source account management for all Government Programs for BIPI, RLI, and BVL. Areas of responsibility include co-negotiation and management of the five year FSS contract, Tricare, 340B pricing, the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, supplemental rebate agreements, and state funded rebate programs.As an employee of Boehringer Ingelheim, you will actively contribute to the discovery, development and delivery of our products to our patients and customers. Our competitive compensation and benefit programs reflect Boehringer Ingelheim's high regard for our employees.Responsibilities: Lead and oversee Goverment Programs (GP) and ensure compliance with pricing, reporting and data requirements. Oversee and ensure that analysts comply with contractual requirements, policies, and procedures. Evaluate and participate in policy making process for GP with respect to Healthcare Reform. Evaluate new government pricing requirements and make appropriate recommendations. Manage departmental documentation, SOPs and process manuals. Assess commercial contracting practices and strategies and their implications on GP as to both pricing (both financial and operational,) and compliance. Review and approve pricing calculations prior to submission, i.e. Federal Ceiling Price, Federal Supply Schedule, Public Health Service (340B) pricing, Non-Federal Average Manufacturer Price, Average Manufacturer Price, Average Sales Price, Best Price, etc. Develop and monitor reporting requirements and ensure IT understands business functions and needs. Manage all projects related to Government Contracting and Pricing including acquisitions, system upgrades, process improvements, forecasting, vendor relationships, etc. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all government reporting obligations. Demonstrate profecciency in Federal Channel Discount forecasting and optimizing of discounts thru leading and collaboration on budgets, forecasts, and pricing strategies for government programs including VA/DOD and Medicaid. Collaborate on pricing strategy for all government contracts.8-10 years experience in the Medicaid/Federal environment within the pharmaceutical industry (both brand and generic). Extensive knowledge of State and Federal government programs including Medicaid, VA, Medicare, etc., including policies and guidelines that affect contracts, pricing, and rebates. Extensive knowledge of pertinent pricing calculations (AMP, BP, Non-FAMP, ASP, 340B, etc.) and their effect on organization's business practices. Thorough understanding of systems and reports that support government contracting including Imany's CARS products. High level of Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Access,Powerpoint) Extensive knowledge of Medicaid Rebate claims processing, dispute resolution, etc. Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation. Ability to prepare and deliver clear messages, and present results of analytical evaluations and recommendations. Strong leadership skills. Strong professionalism. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to develop collaborative, professional relationships at all levels. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
